Russian sailing ship Mir passed through the Bosphorus today. She is heading to Sochi where we will be used as a floating accommodation according to Black Sea News. She had sailed from St. Petersburg on 19 December 2013, and her estimated time of arrival in Sochi is 5 February 2014.

Mir is owned by Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy in Saint Petersburg who operates her as its main training vessel. It is on this ship that many engineers and navigators take their training ready for the Russian Merchant fleet.
