More On Nusret 2010 and Mavi Balina 2010 Exercises

It is a busy week full with exercises.

The Nusret 2010 mine exercise has started and is continuing in the Aegean. On Monday there was a press conference about it.
According to the information shared on this conference the order of battle for the exercise looks like this:
TCG Sokulu Mehmet Paşa
3 mine hunters Engin or Aydın class
1 corvette Burak class
1 rescue ship
1 patrol boat
1 mine recovery boat
1 coast guard vessel
1 C-130 plane
1 helicopter
1 EOD team
 
Of course the NATO SNMCMG-2 is taking part along with additions from Greece and Bulgaria:

The anti submarine exercise Mavi Balina is going on in the east Mediterranean. It was reported that the Greek Navy pulled its frigate away from the exercise in protest of Turkish Air force planes taking part in the exercise. 
In the meantime there was a hostage rescue and anti terror exercise in Izmir harbor. According the exercise scenario, the special teams boarded a ship that was hijacked by terrorist and cleared the bombs left by the terrorist.  Click for the photos and video.
