Last week Wall Street Journal ran an interesting article about the Greek economy and the weapon acquisition for the armed forces.

For me the whole issue is a typical example of the guns or butter dilemma. Adding not too honest politicians and creative accounting into the mixture does not make things easier either.

There are many lessons to be learned from the whole affair for the nations that are dependent foreign weapon acquisitions.
