>Old Minesweeper Sunk As Target

>Probably nobody does remember it or does care or is interested. But I do.
The identity of old minesweeper that was sunk as target during last month’s Deniz Yıldızı naval exercise was revealed as ex-TCG Seddülbahir (M-513).

She was decommissioned in March 2006. She can be seen on the background, burning.

    >TCG Gaziantep and F-497 TCG Göksu executed each one SM-1 MR Block VI missile firing in surface mod. The MEKO 200 Track I class F-241 TCG Turgutreis fired a Sea Sparrow RIM-7 M missile in surface mod as well. Further more the fast attack craft P-328 TCG Şimşek performed a Penguin Mk2 firing. The last live firing was made by a Sea Hawk helicopter with a AGM-114B Hellfire air to surface missile. But I do not know for sure if all these missiles were fired to that old minesweeper or not.
