>TCG Gaziantep departed to Gulf of Aden

>On 5th June 2009, Perry class frigate F-490 TCG Gaziantep departed from Aksaz Naval Base. F-491 TCG Gaziantep will replace TCG Giresun in CTF-151. TCG Giresun is in the Gulf of Aden since February 2009.
The two frigates are expected to meen in Djibuti, where TCG Giresun will transfer the duty and the valueable information and hindshight they have gatehered in the last four months to TCG Gaziantep.
Like TCG Giresun, TCG Gaziantep has two helicopters on board as well as a naval special forces team and a two-man decompression chamber. Both ships have recevied GENESIS modernisation.
